The Italian Vegetable Cookbook on Potluck Video

Ali Rosen is the dynamic host and founder of Potluck Video, a site for food, wine and travel videos. Ali’s videos can also be seen on her Potluck show on New York Public Television Channel 25.  Recently, Ali and I met at Agata & Valentina, one of New York City’s best sources for top quality food, to do a little shopping and talk about my new book,  The Italian Vegetable Cookbook.

The store carries an incredible variety of fresh produce, some familiar and some you may not have tried.  There were cardoons, a vegetable beloved by Italian cooks for its artichoke flavor, fresh zucchini flowers ready for stuffing or frying, and crisp blue-green Tuscan kale, also known as lacinato or dinosaur kale.  With so many great choices, I could hardly decide what to make for dinner.

Here is the video.  Watch it and be inspired!
